Historians at Ide

‘Year 5 Local History Tea Party following training in historical interview techniques from Historic England and Local Learning (Bristol).

Resources

Our ‘Curious-City’ planning provides us with a framework for learning. We have also built up a significant school history bank of resources including log books, maps and census information going back over at least a century. Pupils show great interest in using these valuable artefacts to inform their learning. We continue to develop our historical sources together with Michael Gorely of Historic England, who is working with the school to support the teaching of history.
