Keeping children safe is our priority
- On arrival to the school please make yourselves known to the office and sign in, please be aware that ID will be checked if you are unknown to the school.
- Remember to sign out when you leave the school site.
- Please wear a visitor’s badge during your visit.
- Please take a moment to read our visitors’ guide
- Mobile phones may not be used on site unless permission is sought and granted through the school office.
- If you have any safeguarding concerns, please report them to the Headteacter (Miss Purcell), who is our designated safeguarding lead or, if she is not available, to Seann Williams , who is our deputy designated safeguarding lead.
- If your concern is regarding a child in pre-school then please speak to Anna Clotworthy, the pre-school manager with responsibility for safeguarding.

Supporting Children: Operation Encompass
The school has been given the opportunity to take part in a project that will run jointly between schools and Devon and Cornwall police.
Operation Encompass enables the reporting to schools prior to the start of the next school day, information concerning a child or young person who has been exposed to or involved in, any domestic incident.
Operation Encompass will ensure that a member of the school staff known as the Key Adult (Head Teacher or Deputy Safeguarding Lead, Seann Williams) is trained to allow them to liaise with the police and to use the information that has been shared in confidence, to ensure the school is able to make provision for possible difficulties experienced by children, or their families, who have been involved in or have been exposed to a domestic abuse incident.
We are keen to offer the best support possible to all our pupils and we believe this service will be extremely beneficial for all those involved.
